==New York City==

Upstate is much bigger in geography, but much smaller in population. There are many areas of interest to the Jewish traveler, both as destinations and those travelling through.
==Catskills==
The Catskills region for many years was known as the borsche belt. Many Jewish comedians started their careers in the area. Now it's a popular vacation area, with many bungalow colonies and summer camps.
==Hunter Mountain==
Further north on the north side of the Catskill State park, is the Hunter Mountain - [[Tannersville]] area it is gaining in popularity for summer vacations.
==Albany==

==Adirondacks and Lake George==
There is a kosher Price Chopper in [[Albany]], it has cholov yisroel. Minyanim at Lake George open after Tisha Ba'av. It is run by Chabad in a tent in Bloody pond road, read about it: http://capitalchabad.com/media/pdf/569/lMGf5698575.pdf The Belz Yeshiva in [[Saratoga Springs]] is about 20 minutes from Lake George. Along with other shuls there.
==Binghamton==
Suny of [[Binghamton]] has a huge Jewish Orthodox population on campus.
