The Catskills region for many years was known as the borsche belt. Many Jewish comedians started their careers in the area. Now it's a popular vacation area, with many bungalow colonies and summer camps.

Not far from There is a kosher Price Chopper in [[Albany]], it has cholov yisroel. Minyanim at Lake George open after Tisha Ba'av. Along with other shuls there.
Bingahamton, home ==Binghamton==Suny of suny [[Binghamton]] has a huge Jewish Orthodox population on campus.
For those travelling throught through the state along the thruway there are many cities along the way, with substantial Jewish communities. [[Rochester- New York | Rochester]], [[Niagra fallsFalls]], [[Buffalo]] to name a few.
