Crown Heights has been a Jewish neighborhood for many decades. Now it is primarily inhabited by Chabad Chasidim. It is now centered around 770 Eastern parkway. The Chabad library is next door at 766 Eastern parkway, it is home to over 250,000 books mainly in Hebrew and Yidish.
