The first jew settled here at the end of t … The first jew settled here at the end of the 18th century. However the city flourished in the post world war 2 era and there is not much here for the jewish history buff. The Adas Israel was dedicated in 1876. It is now a conservative synagouge. The original structure hosts Lillian & Albert Small Jewish Museum. The Musuem is run by the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington, which gives building tours and walking tours.
